In the future the following points should be noted: |
Accident and InjuriesIn the event of a fatality, major injury or dangerous occurrence (electric shock, scaffold/trench collapse etc), IMMEDIATELY
In the event of any other injury, Near Miss or any other incident
Other IncidentsIt is likely that from time to time there will be incidents on the site such as flood, electrical failure or worse (Fire, Theft etc). It is important that we are aware of these incidents as soon as possible so that suitable action can be taken. The first issue on sites is to ensure the Client and all those working on site have 24hr contact details of the main contact (Site Manager) and their deputy and line manager. In turn the Site manager should have details of any contractors on site so they can equally be contacted in the event of an incident. These should be included in the site safety file or project file (both paper and electronic), and copied to the Client. If you are responsible for a project either as Project or Site Manager keep your phone on and check messages Report any incidents of damage to or loss of Client Property to the Project Manager immediately by phone and/or email, who will in turn report these on to the relevant SLT Manager as necessary |
